Forget Me Not Mourning Ring

But seriously, this Victorian mourning from the mid 1800's has it all- a cameo carved Sardonyx flower, seed pearls, hidden hairwork under rock crystal, and black enamel to read the line "In Memory Of," and to top it off it's in solid 18k yellow gold. An immaculate display of Victorian aesthetic in incredible condition.

Created from 18k yellow gold with seed pearls to represent tears and carved cameo forget-me-not flower on the face. There is detailed scroll work throughout this piece and an enameled band that reads "In Memory Of". The back of the face of this ring contains the inscription, "John Marshland died May 27th 1873. aged 65 years" and a glass enclosed lock of his hair. Size 7.25. Not recommended to submerge in water due to the locket at the back.
